Fishing Trip to Beqa

Cold beers and coral trout on our fishing charter to Beqa Island

We left the Royal Suva Yacht Club at around 8am. Foul Hook was packed with cold beers, fishing rods, and snorkelling gear. We were ready for a day out on the sea. The blue sky and glassy ocean were a breath of relief after days of rain in Suva.

We trolled on our way to Beqa with the sun rising. We found a current line and pulled in the lines to jig. Two coral trout bit and we reeled them in. After some more tries, we decided to head over to Yanuca for lunch.

Sunny day for a fishing charter in Suva

The kool-aid blues invited us in for a swim. The deep greens of the islands looked fresh and lush. We jumped in and had a look around. Tiny blue fish circled a coral head and the white sand gleamed under the sunlight.

After lunch, we stopped at a nearby reef and tried some casting. As the sun started to descend, we began our journey back to Viti Levu. The guests had a great day out fishing and enjoying the beauty of the islands.
